Vibration Characteristics Analysis of O-Shaped Damping Ring to Balance Damping Gear Transmission System for Three-Cylinder Engine

Balance shafts are often used to improve the engine vibration characteristics of three-cylinder engines. The balance damping gear with a ring is an important part connecting crankshaft and shaft transmission. stiffness unbalance have influence on its suppression performance, but coupled unbalanced unknown. In this paper, multi-body dynamic bending–torsional coupling model transmission system constructed considering equivalent support. Based fourth-order Runge–Kutta method, laws different rotational speeds, load torques, unbalance, radial torsional obtained. results show that amplitude increases linearly increase in speed amount unbalance. As torque increases, noise radiation increases. change has little effect gear. rate decreases linearly. Combined calculation formula stiffness, when inner outer diameters relatively large, performance sharply thickness ring.
